Understanding Zaurum
Zaurum is the native in-app currency that coordinates everything you do on Fan Club Z — balances, staking, rewards, refunds, and creator earnings. This page explains what it is, what it is not, and how it moves as you participate.
What Zaurum is
Zaurum is a participation currency. It is the single unit the app uses to represent your balance, the stake you place on a prediction, the rewards you receive, and the earnings a creator accrues from well-formed markets. Keeping one consistent unit across the whole experience is what lets your activity roll up into a clean, comparable track record.
What Zaurum is not
In the standard Fan Club Z experience — including the Apple App Store and Google Play apps — Zaurum is for entertainment and social participation, has no cash value, and is not redeemable for money. It is not legal tender, not a bank deposit, and does not represent ownership in Fan Club Z. Fan Club Z predictions are a form of social participation and entertainment; they are not real-money gambling, betting, or a financial product.
How Zaurum moves when you participate
- Staking. When you take a position on a prediction, the amount you stake is reserved from your spendable balance and held against that prediction until it settles.
- Settlement. When the prediction is settled from its written question and a reliable public source, winning positions are paid from the losing side of the pool. Winners are never taxed on their own stake.
- Refunds and voids. If a prediction is voided — because it was unclear, unverifiable, already known, or cancelled — stakes are returned. You end up back where you started, as though the market never ran.
- Rewards and creator earnings. Claims, rewards, and creator earnings are all denominated in Zaurum so your balance always reflects the full picture of your activity.
Fees are funded by the losing side
When a prediction settles, any platform or creator fee is funded only from the losing-side stake, and it is capped so it can never exceed the amount available to cover it. Winners keep their own stake plus their share of what remains after fees. If there is no counterparty — everyone predicted the same outcome — no fee is taken and participants simply receive their stake back.
Keeping your balance safe
Your Zaurum balance is tied to your account, so the usual account-security basics apply: keep your login secure, and never share one-time codes or magic-link access with anyone. Fan Club Z will never ask you for a password, one-time code, or wallet recovery phrase. If a message asks for any of these in the name of Fan Club Z, treat it as a scam and report it.
